Meet Our Founder

Rev. Dr. Shawn Jegede

Dr. Jegede is an experienced professional who combines business and seminary degrees with twenty-plus years of successfully launching and managing large scale programs and projects in the nonprofit, faith-based and government sectors. She possesses a proven ability to combine vision and attention to detail with a commitment to positive social change.

Dr. Jegede developed a passion for solving complex social challenges through cross-sector partnerships when she studied in a Harvard University leadership program with professors from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard Divinity School and Harvard Business School. She later earned a Doctorate Degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a research focus on faith-based community development.

Dr. Jegede understands the complexities that culture add to community development and brings both a domestic and global perspective to her work. She has worked on projects in multiple states in the United States, the Caribbean and Europe.

Finally, Dr. Jegede is an ordained Reverend, mother of two children, active volunteer and Philadelphia, PA native. Go Eagles!
